When is the next Night Market?
The next Night Market has not been officially announced. Current community discussion expects a mid-Act return, but that timing is only an estimate. Watch Riot’s official announcements page for the confirmed opening date.
Past windows suggest Night Market returns periodically during the year, but the dates and window length are not guaranteed. Do not treat the July closing date as a schedule for the next event.
How the Night Market actually works
The mechanics are simpler than the discount range suggests, but worth knowing before you click the first card.
When you open the Night Market tab during the window, you get exactly six face-down cards. Each card is one skin offer. You click to reveal, and the reveal is permanent. You cannot stop, cancel, refresh, or reroll. What you see is what you have.
Each card is rolled independently. Discounts can hit 10% off at the floor and 49% off at the ceiling, and the skin tier behind the card is also randomized across Select, Deluxe, and Premium. The 49% top-end is real but rare; most cards trend 15-30% off in our sample.
Riot builds in a soft floor called Bad Luck Protection: at least 2 of your 6 cards must be Premium-tier gun skins or eligible knives, assuming you don’t already own every Premium skin in the eligible pool. The protection is silent. You only notice it when you’d statistically have rolled five Selects and ended up with two Premiums anyway.
On eligibility, the pool covers Select, Deluxe, and Premium edition gun skins plus most knives in those tiers. Out of the pool: Ultra Edition skins (5,350 VP+), Battle Pass-exclusive skins, knives that originally retailed at 4,350+ VP, and current-event-exclusive skins. There is no reroll, ever. The reroll glitch videos on YouTube are edited footage or fakes. Riot has held the no-reroll line since 2021 and the support docs reaffirm it every Act. If a friend tells you they rerolled, ask them to prove it on stream. They won’t.
Should you actually buy from the Night Market?
Yes, with two filters. First, only buy skins you’d buy at full price anyway. The Night Market’s job is to discount skins you wanted, not to hand you a deal to hunt for. Buying a 49%-off Premium because the discount is huge but the skin is ugly is how you end up with a sock drawer full of unused Recons. Second, ignore cards that aren’t at least 30% off. Below 30%, you can usually wait for a featured-bundle rerun or a regular store discount.
If you’re stretched on VP because you’ve spent it elsewhere, the Night Market becomes your Battle Pass shortcut. The Premium-tier cards at 30%+ off are the best gun-skin value in the game, and Bad Luck Protection guarantees at least two of them in any given window.

Common Night Market mistakes
Three ways players waste the window:
- Opening all six cards on day one, then forgetting to buy. The cards are locked the moment you open them, but the purchase window stays open only until the event closes. Plenty of players reveal in the first hour, see a 35%-off skin they want, then forget to actually click buy before the window closes. The reveal is not the purchase.
- Burning a reveal hoping for a better card. Every card is independent. Revealing card three doesn’t change the odds on cards four, five, six. There’s no system that saw you get a bad roll and decides to compensate, aside from Bad Luck Protection, which is already baked in.
- Waiting for the next Night Market to roll the same skin. The pool resets each window and re-randomizes. A skin that appeared in Act 2’s window can appear again later, but Riot does not guarantee when the next window will open.

10% to 49% off the standard VP price. Each card is rolled independently. The 49% ceiling is rare; most cards land in the 15-30% range. The discount is shown directly on each card after you reveal.
Can I get Vandal or Phantom skins from the Night Market?
Yes, any Vandal or Phantom skin in the Select, Deluxe, or Premium tiers is eligible. Ultra Edition Vandals and Phantoms (5,350+ VP) are excluded, as are Battle Pass-exclusive variants.
Does the Night Market reset if I haven’t opened my cards?
No. Once the window closes, your unopened cards disappear. You don’t get them carried over to the next Act. If you missed the July 29 closing date, those offers are gone; wait for Riot to announce the next window.
Can I buy a friend’s Night Market skin?
No. Night Market offers are per-account and non-transferable. The skin shows on your account if you buy it, and the gifting system in Valorant doesn’t extend to Night Market discounted prices.
Do free-to-play players get the Night Market?
Yes. The Night Market is account-level, not tied to VP spending. Any account that’s reached the appropriate level (and Riot has occasionally locked it behind Episode rewards) gets the six cards. Free-to-play players see the same rolls; they just need VP to actually purchase the discounted skin.
What’s the best strategy for the Night Market?
Open all six cards on day one. Note the skins you’d have bought at full price even without a discount. Buy those before the window closes. Ignore the rest. Don’t chase a card just because the discount is big, since a 45%-off skin you’ll never equip is still a waste of VP. Skin-buying discipline applies to discounted skins too.
