The Dota 2 transfer season is going bananas after the ending of it's premier event "The International 2021" roster changes were inevitable. The first big move that shaked everything up was MATUMBAMAN parting ways with Team Secret ahead of the 2021-2022 Dota Pro Circuit season. Lasse Aukusti "MATUMBAMAN" Urpalainen is a Finnish professional Dota 2 player who last played for Team Secret. MATUMBAMAN made a name for himself by winning the Assembly Summer 2014 LAN tournament with the team Veni,Vidi,Vici. This move was the last nail in the coffin of Team Secret's dominant era of Dota 2 boosting. The organization recorded high placements in the International and went on a eight-tournament win streak during a record-breaking 100-game.

The moves by Team Secret started with the removal of it’s offlaner Zai who would later join Team Liquid. The Dota 2boosting scene reacted to this with much pleasure, transfer weeks are always great times for Dota 2 boosting moves since it’s when teams release their players and coaches and others see a chance to contract them. Matu joined Team Secret after a scandal with Team Liquid back in 2019 where he was removed from the team roster and later joined Chaos Esports Club for the international 19 the last before the global pandemic hit the world.

The player had this to say:

“Another chapter has ended, but never forgotten, Lasse is an amazing guy and I really enjoyed being teammates with him. We shared some great moments together and I am sure that we will keep crossing paths outside of our careers. Good luck to you Matu!”

OG starts doing it’s structure moves for next year

OG was created as the new team of former (monkey) Business players. In August 2019, OG became the first team to win more than one TI by winning TI9, also becoming the first back-to-back TI winners in the history of the game. The organization's Dota 2 boosting division needed some changes and the organization decided to part ways with their super coach Titouan “Sockshka” Merloz. Socks first entered the team as an official OG coach and representative of the team strategy in the International 2019. Socks had a long history as a player and so joining a a coach is only natural his partnership and duo with Sébastien “Ceb” Debs is well known by the fan base. They both appeared together in multiple teams in Europe. The two buds reunited in OG and Socks is helping the team greatly so far! Through many events and even OG Dota 2 secondary team this man did it all but is time in the team has come to an end. In his departure he had this to say:

“Today I’m no longer part of OG Dota 2,” Socks said. “I made some of the best memories of my life during those past three years with people I’m lucky to be able to call friends now. I will be forever grateful to everyone in the OG squad, especially Johan and Seb who gave me this life-changing opportunity.”
